Our Work
Crown lifting
Removal of lower branches to allow more light through or to provide clearance for buildings or other plants. This is often a good option for large trees that are shading gardens or houses and is much less damaging than reducing height.
General reduction
Pruning of the crown of the tree to reduce its overall size, generally it is best to remove no more than 20% of the foliage to ensure the continued health of the tree.
Deadwooding
Removal of deadwood in the crown, this is allowed without permission even on protected trees.
Removal
Either felling if it is safe to do so or dismantling in small sections using rigging techniques, or in some circumstances a MEWP to ensure the tree is removed safely without disruption to buildings etc..
Pollarding
Involves removing the upper branches of a tree which promotes the growth of dense foliage and branches, not suitable for all species but can be useful in some circumstances
Stump grinding
Grinding out of the stump, any remaining small roots not attached will then rot away. Necessary for species that would regrow or of if the stump is causing damage to a wall or building.
Tree planting
We can advise on the best species to plant and a suitable location or provide replacement trees as specified by the council when a protected tree is removed.
Applications
We can advise and assist or complete applications for tree works in conservation areas or covered by TPO’s
Clearance
Whether a large site or domestic garden we can clear all trees/vegetation and stumps.
Hedge work
We carry out regular hedge trimming and maintenance or large scale reductions/removals.
